Reading a trade price ladder: when ordering more saves money

Every product on NTH has volume pricing. How to read the ladder, where the minimum order and pack size come in, and when it's worth moving up to the next tier.

1 November 2026

Every product in the NTH catalog has a price ladder: the more units you order, the less you pay per unit. Simple enough on paper. In practice three numbers decide what you pay, and they're easy to mix up.

The three numbers on every product

  1. Minimum order (MOQ): the smallest quantity we'll ship for that product.
  2. Pack size: products come in fixed packs, so your quantity goes up in steps of the pack size.
  3. Price tiers: the price per unit at each quantity band.

When you change the quantity on a product page, the ladder highlights the tier you're in. The highlighted price is what you pay per unit, before GST.

When the next tier is worth it

The cart shows how many more units take you to the next tier. Before you add them, ask yourself two things.

First, will you use the extra units? If they'll sit in a cupboard until next season, the lower unit price isn't saving you anything this month.

Second, what does the total come to? Sometimes a bigger order at a lower unit price costs only a little more than the smaller one, and then it's an easy yes. If the total jumps a lot, stay where you are.

What the price doesn't include

Product prices on NTH don't include freight. We quote it after you order, based on weight, destination and how soon you need the stock, and you pay it through a link before we dispatch. Keep that in mind when you compare us with a price that includes delivery.

GST is shown separately at checkout. If your GSTIN is registered in Madhya Pradesh you'll see CGST and SGST; anywhere else it's IGST. You can download the GST invoice from the order page.

Quotes for anything unusual

For a mix of products, a custom quantity or your own branding, send a quote request from your cart. Our team prices the whole order, adds freight, and you accept and pay from the quote page.

Questions we get asked

Can I mix products to reach a price tier?

Each product's tier is worked out on that product's quantity. If you're buying a mix, a quote request lets our team price the order as a whole.
